ONE HUNDRED THINGS TO DO IN GUERNSEY WHEN THE REST OF THE WORLD HAS GONE TO SH*T! NO 24 THE ACCIDENTAL ZOO

We had a lovely afternoon at The Accidental Zoo yesterday, lots of animals. It was a large crowd of humans with their smaller humans, enjoying the animals and there were lots for them to do. Elvis enjoyed the large tractors to ride on, and the hand washing station for a quick head-to-toe shower! Guernsey is a tricky place to navigate at times with small humans, lots of places are inaccessible and dangerous for tiny toddlers (Le Gouffre walk is amazing, that conjures up scenes of a Sly Stallone ‘Cliffhanger’ movie at all times).

The Zoo opens for a few select days each year. It was £32 for a family ticket (up to 5 people) and this was great value.

A ‘meanwhile in Guernsey’ moment happened last week, as local media picked up on a number of stray tortoises that had been found. It turns out that the tortoise ladz pick up speed in the warmer weather, motivated by having the horn and looking for love!! Tortoise Love in the Time of a Global Pandemic sounds like a good holiday read.
